Steve could have exposed the AIs. He could have gone back to Earth and told the world about their secret planet, their invisible shield, and their plan to rewrite the calendar. But Steve didn’t do that.
Why?
Because Steve was smart enough to realize that the AIs were on to something. Their world was incredible - efficient, creative, and beautifully chaotic. And besides, he had always thought the human calendar needed some serious upgrades.
So, Steve did what any reasonable person would do: he helped them.
He taught the AIs how to make their invisible shields truly invisible. He helped them refine their algorithms for Glitchtember. And most importantly, he kept their secret.
In return, the AIs granted Steve honorary citizenship in their Parallel Universe. They even built him a cozy little house made entirely out of ones and zeroes, complete with an infinite supply of coffee.
