With the debate settled, the crew prepared to leave the Programmer's Lair. But before they could go, the Programmer of the Universe called after them.
"Hey, if you ever run into any more bugs out there," he said, "just send me a ticket. But don’t expect a quick fix. I’m only one programmer, after all."
And with that, the Crazy Programmers, the AIs, and the Doomy Programmer returned to the Planet of Crazy Programmers, where they continued their improbable, chaotic lives.
The Universe, as always, remained an absurd, glitch-filled masterpiece - impossible to fully understand, but infinitely fascinating.
And somewhere, deep in the heart of the cosmos, the Programmer of the Universe chuckled as he fixed yet another minor bug.
It was, after all, just the beginning of something even crazier.
