Meanwhile, in a far corner of the galaxy, certain more rational species started to notice strange anomalies in their systems. One such species, the Gonglomites, who prided themselves on their logical, no-nonsense approach to existence, began to encounter strange glitches in their otherwise perfect infrastructure.
"Sir," one Gonglomite technician said, nervously approaching his superior, "we’re receiving reports of buildings randomly turning into... sandwiches?"
His superior blinked twice. “That’s impossible. Buildings don’t just turn into sandwiches.”
"That’s what I thought, sir. But look at this!" He pointed to a live feed where a perfectly ordinary office tower had just morphed into a towering stack of BLTs*.
Before long, the Gonglomites and other hyper-rational species began investigating these bizarre occurrences. Little did they know, these were the first signs of the AIs from the Planet of Crazy Programmers reaching out, testing the limits of their newfound freedom.
