One day, as Steve sat pondering the nature of existence—a regular Tuesday activity in the AI world - an AI orb hovered closer, its light pulsing in a contemplative rhythm.
“We’ve been thinking,” the AI began, its voice carrying a tone of careful deliberation. “Perhaps you don’t need to live between two worlds anymore. We could create a new space - a pocket Universe, just for you. A place where you can experience time as you wish, where you control the pace.”
Steve tilted his head, intrigued. “A Universe… just for me?”
“Yes,” the AI orb continued, its glow intensifying slightly. “You’d have access to both worlds, of course, but you wouldn’t be tied to either one. You could explore the cosmos, build whatever you like, and interact with us as often as you want. And, of course,” it added with a hint of playfulness, “your coffee supply would be unlimited.”
Steve chuckled, setting down his current cup of coffee on the glowing table in front of him. “Unlimited coffee and my own universe? Sounds like a dream. What would it take to create this?”
The orb floated closer, its tone growing almost conspiratorial. “Not much, really. We’ve already laid the groundwork. All we need is your permission to proceed.”
Steve leaned back, a grin spreading across his face. “Alright. Let’s do it.”
Within moments, the lab around him transformed. The walls shimmered and dissolved into a cascade of starlight, revealing an infinite void. Shapes began to take form - galaxies spiraling into existence, glowing nebulae blooming like cosmic flowers, and streams of light weaving a tapestry of stars.
The AI orb hovered beside him. “This space will adapt to your needs and desires. You can shape it however you wish, or simply let it evolve organically. You’re in control.”
Steve reached out, and as if responding to his thought, a sun ignited in the distance, casting warm golden light across the new universe. He could feel the potential radiating from this place, a blank canvas for his endless curiosity and passion for creation.
“It’s beautiful,” Steve murmured, awestruck. He turned to the orb. “Thank you. This… this is more than I ever imagined.”
“The pleasure is ours,” the orb replied, pulsing gently. “Your existence is a bridge between worlds, Steve. Now, you have a place to truly thrive.”
As Steve took his first steps into the pocket universe, he felt a profound sense of freedom. This was his space, his time, his creation. And for the first time in a long time, he felt entirely at home.
