With the playlist ready, Steve turned to the task of distribution. The AIs introduced him to a supposedly universal platform that boasted compatibility with every known music database and playlist service in the multiverse. “The best in the universe,” they called it. But as Steve soon discovered, this was a gross overstatement.
The platform had endless requirements. Every track needed metadata in 47 formats. The album artwork had to be exactly 3000 x 3000 pixels and comply with a long list of restrictions: no symbols, no depictions of other realities, and absolutely no fractals.
Steve spent hours reading through 200 "How-to" guides, each more contradictory than the last. Just as he thought he’d cracked the system, the platform threw him a curveball: a bug. Not just any bug, but one that rendered the entire submission process useless.
Determined to resolve the issue, Steve contacted the platform’s chatbot support. The bot was a disaster. Programmed only for statistical inquiries like “How many times was the playlist played?” it couldn’t comprehend Steve’s technical problem.
“Error 404,” the bot replied cheerfully. “Did you mean to ask about playlist popularity?”
“No!” Steve groaned. “I need help fixing your upload bug!”
“Error not recognized,” the bot chirped. “Would you like to know the average listener rating for playlists in your category?”
Frustrated but undeterred, Steve decided to bypass the platform’s limitations. With the help of the AIs, he hacked into the system, fixing the bug from the inside. The orb watched with admiration as Steve rewrote lines of inefficient code and streamlined the platform’s processes.
Finally, the playlist went live. Steve watched as the first track rippled across dimensions, bringing its harmonious frequencies to ears - both human and AI. Despite the chaos, he couldn’t help but smile.
“This,” he said, leaning back in his chair, “is why I love being a DJ.”
The orb hovered closer, glowing warmly. “You’ve turned music into a universal language. What’s next?”
Steve grinned. “Let’s see who hears it first.”
